Why Is This Blog Here? or Wait, People still Blog?

Well, besides the fact that "the internet needed another blog", why not?   

This is a blog without a consistent theme or audience in mind; it's based on ideas and things that interest me.

I originally intended the blog to be a "catch-all" of all the various weird things I am interested in. Sure, I still do that, but often my blog posts are more personal and introspective. Ultimately, this blog is a vanity project. On the other hand, that's much of what you'll find on the internet in general...so you're probably used to it.  If you're not interested in me (and I personally wouldn't be if I wasn't me), this might not be your cup of tea. 

That said, I do have eclectic interests, so pull up a chair, relax, and read about comic books, Confucius, 90's music, the San Antonio Spurs,  philosophical and theological musings, or whatever strikes my fancy. I also share some of my art projects or poetry from time to time if you're into that sort of thing.

Who Am I?

I am a 40-something married father of three (C, E and H). I teach at a community college deep in the heart of Texas. I love to travel, take naps, and eat good food when I get the chance.
